DAY 01: NORTH
AMERICA / EUROPE.
Tour members will gather at the ticket counter at the airport two hours
prior to their departure to Europe.
 DAY 02: ATHENS.
Arrival in Athens where we will be met by our guide and driver. We will
be transferred to the port for our CRUISE through the Greek Isles.
DAY 03: CRUISE /
ISTANBUL.
All day to enjoy our cruise ship and unbelievable meals as we cross the
Bosphorus which separates Europe and Asia, sailing to Istanbul, capital
of the Byzantine Empire. Evening arrival.
 DAY 04: CRUISE /
ISTANBUL.
This
morning we arrive in Istanbul for our city tour. Visit the Topkapi
Palace, home of the Ottoman Sultans. See the Treasury, the famous
Topkapi dagger, Hippodrome of old Constantinople and the legendary Blue
Mosque.
DAY 05: CRUISE /
KUSADASI / EPHESUS.
In the morning we arrive at Kusadasi, a lively Turkish port and gateway to the
ancient Greek city of Ephesus, one of the seven wonders of the ancient
world.
DAY 06: CRUISE /
PATMOS / MYKONOS.
Sail for Patmos, a holy island for the Christian religion. It was here
on this island where John wrote the book of revelations while on exile
by the Roman state. Our next port of call is the dazzling white island
of Mykonos.
DAY 07: CRUISE /
RHODES.
Enjoy a full day on this lovely island. Optional tours will take you to
visit the Medieval town built by the Crusading Knights of St. John and
the village of Lindos.
 DAY 08: CRUISE /
HERAKLION / SANTORINI.
Optional visit to the Palace of Knossos, once the capital city of the
prehistoric Minoan civilization. Knossos, with its hundreds of
apartments and intricate passageways, is thought to be the basis for the
original Labyrinth housing the mythological Minotaur. Our next stop is
Santorini – one of the most beautiful of the Greek Islands. Optional
visit to Acrotiri. Often compared to Pompeii, Acrotiri boasts a much
earlier age and preserves amazing ruins dating from the second
millennium BC. See beautiful pottery, the two and three story houses,
once decorated with renowned wall paintings, staircases and a great
variety of rooms; the roads and the squares of a city 3,500 years old.
DAY 09: CRUISE /
ATHENS / CORINTH.
Upon our return from the cruise, we start our tour of Athens at the
Acropolis, the Parthenon, Agora, Mars Hill, House of Parliament, Tomb of
the unknown soldier, the Royal Palace, the stadium, Ancient Corinth, and
the Corinth Canal. Dinner and overnight in Athens.
DAY 10 : ATHENS / NORTH AMERICA.
This
morning we transfer to the airport for our flight home. The end of an
unforgettable journey. |
