DAY 01: USA/EUROPE. Evening departure from North America. Dinner and breakfast will be served onboard our trans-Atlantic flight to Europe where we will connect for our flight to Cairo.

DAY 02: CAIRO.  Upon arrival we will be met and transferred to our hotel.  The rest of the day is at leisure.  Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

DAY 03: CAIRO/GIZA.  Morning visit to Egyptian Museum to view many specimens of finest antiquities including precious collections from the tomb of Tut-Ankh-Amon.  Then drive through the city past Cairo University to Giza.  Visit Cheops Pyramid and the Sphinx.  Camels or horses will be available to ride to the Pyramid Plateau.  Afternoon sightseeing drive along the Nile Corniche past East El Ainin Hospital to "Old Cairo".  Proceed to Memphis.  Visit the site at the Nile where Moses was found in the bulrushes.  Drive via Republic Square past Abdin Palace to Sultan Hassan Mosque, the Citadel and Mohammed Aly Mosque for a panorama of Cairo.  Through the City of the Dead to the native bazaars of Khan El Khalili where time is allowed for browsing and shopping.

DAY 04: CAIRO / PETRA.  This morning, we depart Cairo on our way to Petra.  We cross into Jordan via the Wadi Araba Bridge, newly built after the signing of the Israeli Jordanian Peace Treaty. Continue through the Port City of Aqaba to Petra, "The Rose Red City -Half as Old as Time."  This ancient Edomite and Nabatean capital is an amazing city of prophecy. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

DAY 05: PETRA / AMMAN. This morning we begin our sightseeing with this spectacular "City of the Dead" with its famed gorge, ancient street, temples, dwelling places and tombs carved from the solid rock.  Arrive at El Ji Post and continue the one-mile journey on horseback, or walk, passing through the famous SIQ (natural gorge) and arrive at the "Treasury".  Visit the ancient theater.  In the Nabatean Judgment Hall, Place Tombs, famous Urn Temple and the Roman amphitheater.  Those willing to climb may view the monastery, Jebel Harun (Mountain of Aaron), supposed to be the burial place of Aaron.  Horseback journey back to El Ji Post.  Continue to Mt. Nebo and Madaba on our way to Amman for dinner and overnight.

DAY 06: AMMAN / JERICHO /  TIBERIAS.   This morning we depart Amman for Tiberias.  After crossing the west bank of the Jordan  via the Allenby Bridge, drive to ancient Jericho where the walls came tumbling down (Kings 17:1-6 and (II Kings 2:19-22) and a commanding view of the Mt. of Temptation (Matthew 4:1-11) and Elisha's Fountain.  We continue northward to the Province of Galilee to Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

DAY 07: TIBERIAS / CAPERNAUM / CAESAREA PHILIPPI. Morning departure to Safed, Hazor, Dan and Caesarea Phillipi.  See Banyas at the foot of Mt. Herman.  Return to Chorazim, the Mount of Beatitudes - site of the Sermon on the Mount - and Tabgha (chapel dedicated to the multiplication of the loaves and fishes.)  Visit the ruins at Capernaum, the synagogue and the House of Simon Peter.  We then board our motor launch for a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee. Traveling westward across Galilee we will view Mt. Tabor (Psalm 89:12),and Deboriya - the hometown of the prophetess Deborah (Judges 4 and 5).  Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 08: GALILEE / JERUSALEM.  Morning devotional service on the Sea of Galilee.  Drive via Cana, site of the first miracle of Jesus, to Nazareth to visit the Church of the Annunciation, the Carpentry Shop and Mary's Well.  Continue via Megiddo to Haifa.  Onto Mt. Carmel to see Elijah's Cave, the Bahai Temple and view the city and bay. Drive along the coastal plain to Caesarea, the provincial capital of the Roman Procurators.  Visit the ruins of the fortifications, harbor, moat and amphitheater.  Onto the Holy City of Jerusalem.

DAY 09: JERUSALEM.   Drive to the top of the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of Jerusalem.  Visit the Chapel of the Ascension, the Church of Pater Noster and Dominus Flevit.  Walk along Hosanna Road to the Garden of Gethsemane.  Visit the Church of the Nations which stands on the Rock of the Agony.  See the Pillar of Absalom, the Eastern (Golden) Gate and the Pinnacle of the Temple.  Continue to the Gibon Spring, Pool of Siloam and Hezekiah's Tunnel.  After lunch we will drive to Mt. Zion.  Visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu on the site of Caiphas House, the Upper Room, the Tomb of King David and the Dormition.  Continue to tour the new part of Jerusalem:  the Hebrew University, the Shrine of the Book that houses the Dead Sea Scrolls, Ein Karem - birthplace of John the Baptist - Kennedy Memorial and the Model City at the Holy Land Hotel.  Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 10: JERUSALEM / BETHLEHEM.   View the Kidron Valley and the Mount of Olives from the Eastern Gate as we start a walking tour of the Old City of Jerusalem entering through St. Stephen's Gate to the Pool of Bethesda and Saint Anne's Church, the Ecce Homo Arch (Behold the Man), the Lithostrotos and the Via Dolorosa.  Continue to the Temple Area of Mt. Moriah.  Visit the Dome of the Rock, El Aksa Mosque and the Wailing Wall. Walk through the Old City bazaars to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.  View the Tower of David and the Citadel as we leave the Old City through Jaffa Gate.  Now we visit the Garden Tomb and Golgotha - Place of the Skull - for a worship service.  After lunch proceed to Bethlehem.  Visit the Shepherd's Fields and the Church of Saint Catherine.  Walk through the streets of the little town to the "Old Bethlehem Museum" and the Wells of David.  Stop at Rachel's Tomb on our way to Jerusalem and our hotel.

DAY 11: THE DEAD SEA / QUMRAN / MASADA.   This morning we drive through the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. Continue along the Dead Sea to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.  Visit the remains of the Community Center of the Essenes and the Caves of the Scrolls. Continue along the shores of the Dead Sea to Masada, truly a remarkable piece of history.  On the way we view Ein Fescha, a green oasis in the middle of the desert.  Then ascend to Masada by cable car to visit the magnificent ruins of the fortress where from 70-73 A.D. the Jewish defenders made the last stand of the Judean revolt against Rome and where the remains of storehouses and a 6th century Byzantine church are still on view.  Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

DAY 12: JERUSALEM / TEL AVIV / NORTH AMERICA.  This morning we will depart for the airport for our return flight to North America.  The end of our most enjoyable journey.
