Day 01 USA / MILAN. Tour members will depart to Milan from our airport. Dinner will be served aboard the flight. Day 02 Milan / Mestre.  Upon our arrival at the Milan airport we will be met and escorted to our motor coach for a tour around the city. Some of the highlights are La Scala Opera House, the Duomo, and the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazia, home of Leonardo da Vinci's "Last Supper" art work. Continue to Mestra for dinner and overnight. Day 03 Mestre / Venice / Mestre. Breakfast at the hotel. Today begins with a sightseeing tour of Venice. Included will be St. Mark's Square with the Byzantine Basilica San Marco and the Palace of the Doges. We may take an optional Gondola ride at the Bridge of Sighs. This afternoon is at leisure. Evening performance at Church Dei Frari. Overnight at our hotel in Mestre. Day 04 Mestre / Padua / Montecatini. Breakfast at the hotel. We depart by private motor coach to Montecatini. Along the way we stop in Padua for a walking tour and visit the Basilica of St. Anthony and his tomb. Continue to Montecatini for dinner and overnight.  Day 05 Montecatini / Florence / Montecatini. Breakfast at the hotel. Today we begin our beautiful trip to Florence by visiting the Piazza della Signoria, where the Neptune Fountain stands. Then we visit Giotto's Bell Tower, the baptistery with it's "Gates of Paradise" doors, and the Academia that houses the Michelangelo's original statue of David. We will also see the Santa Croce Church, the famous church where Dante, Michelangelo, Leonard da Vinci and many others are buried. In the afternoon performance at a local church. Dinner at a local restaurant. Return to Montecatini for overnight.
 DAY 06 MONTECATINI / ASSISI. Breakfast at the hotel. We travel to Assisi through the mystic province of Umbria and its capital city of Assisi, town of St. Francis. Arrival in Assisi for dinner and overnight.
Day 07 Assisi / Rome. This morning our tour includes Santa Maria degli Angeli with the "thornless rose bush", the Basilica of St. Francis and the Church of St. Clare, which to this day houses her incorrupt body. In the afternoon we continue to Rome. Arrival in Rome for dinner and overnight. Day 08 Rome. Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we visit The Vatican City including the Vatican Museum and Gallery, Raphael's Rooms, the Sistine Chapel, the Catacombs and St. Peter's Basilica. We may attend an Audience with our Holy Father if available. During the afternoon tour highlights include City Hall, the Trevi Fountain, the Coliseum, St. Peter in chains, Appian Way, Palazzo Venezia, Arch of Constantine, and Circus Maximus. Overnight at our hotel in Rome.  Day 09 Rome. Breakfast at the hotel. This morning is at leisure. In the afternoon we have rehearsal, followed by a concert at a local church. After the concert we enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Rome.
Day 10 ROME / NORTH AMERICA. Early departure to the Leonardo Da Vinci Airport and our flight home. The end of a most enjoyable tour. |
