DAY 1 NORTH AMERICA /
FRANKFURT. Tour members will meet
at the airport three hours prior to departure to Frankfurt. Dinner and
breakfast will be served in flight.
 DAY 2 FRANKFURT / ADDIS ABABA.
Upon arrival in Addis Ababa, we will be met by a representative at the
airport and transferred to our hotel. Overnight in Addis Ababa.
DAY 3 ADDIS ABABA.
After breakfast at the hotel, we begin our city tour of Addis Ababa.
Highlights include the Archaeological Ethnological Museum, Trinity
Cathedral and Lion’s Cage. This afternoon continue sightseeing,
visiting St. George Cathedral, Handicraft center, the grand market known
as “Mercato”. We then drive to Mt. Entoto to enjoy a stupendous view
over the mountains. Overnight in Addis Ababa.
 DAY
4 ADDIS ABABA / LALIBELA. We have
breakfast at the hotel this morning and then transfer to the airport for
the flight to Lalibela. Upon arrival we are met by a representative at
the airport and check in at our hotel. Visit all Rock hewn churches in
Lalibela.
DAY 5 LALIBELA / AXUM.
Morning departure to the airport for the flight to Axum. Upon arrival a
representative will meet us and assist us with our hotel check-in.
Sightseeing today includes the Park of Stelaes, St. Mary of Zion church
(old and new), the archaeological museum, the ruins palace & swimming
pool of the legendary Queen of Sheba, the Tombs of Kings. Overnight in
Axum.
DAY 6 AXUM/ BAHAR DAR.
Breakfast at the hotel this morning and then we’re off to the airport
for our flight to Bahar Dar. After checking in at the hotel, we will
visit the wood market and the papyrus boats and the palace of the
Emperor Haile Selassie from the outside. Overnight in Bahar Dar.
DAY 7 BAHAR DAR/ ADDIS ABABA.
Today we will have an early
breakfast before driving 32 km. from the town and visit the Blue Nile
Falls. We will then transfer to the airport for our return back to Addis
Ababa, where we will overnight.
DAY 8 ADDIS ABABA / FRANKFURT.
Full day free in Addis Ababa. Transfer to the airport in the evening for
our flight back to Frankfurt.
DAY 9 FRANKFURT / NORTH AMERICA.
We connect this morning in Frankfurt for our continuation back to the
United States. The end of a most enjoyable tour. |
